Information about the firmware update for the GY-HM660E.

Points of improvement in reference to the previous version

(August 2017)


Following functions become controllable by RM-LP100  remote controller. (*1)


Zoom (Tele/Wide/Stop, Speed) / Focus (Far/Near) / Iris (Open/Close) / Master Black (Up/Down) / Gain (Up/Down) / Shutter (Slower/Faster) /White Balance R Gain/B Gain  (Up/Down) / AE Level (Up/Down) / Detail (Up/Down) / AF/MF / Menu Operation / Tally PGM/PVW


(*1) These are available when being used in combination with RM-LP100 V0101~.



Fix the problem that the TC recorded in AVCHD clips  cannot be imported properly into Final Cut Pro.



(*2) For GY-HM660, already available on/after V0106



Fix the problem that an SSID may not be appeared in the result list when searching for a WiFi access point with the SSID string including space(blank)



Fix the problem that the TC from SDI output may have errors.




This software should only be uploaded to the unit for which it is intended. If this software is uploaded to a unit other than the product it is designed for, it will render the unit inoperative.
If the software upload fails, and subsequent upload attempts prove unsuccessful, the unit may need to be returned to JVC for service.

Attach both AC Adapter and Battery when updating.

Disconnect/Remove USB cable, Video cables (HDMI, SDI, A/V, etc), other cables except AC Adapter.

Do NOT power off during updating

It takes about 3 minutes for updating

After Firmware update, please go to System Menu and proceed a system reset.
This operation will be necessary for a proper update of your camcorder.
